Northern BC is Truly a land of Mystery with incredible characters and stories along the way. The Story of a the very first "Broken Arrow" is one of them. On 14 February 1950, a Convair B-36, Air Force Serial Number 44-92075 assigned to the 7th Bomb Wing at Carswell Airforce Base, crashed in northern BC on Mount Kologet after jettisoning a Mark 4 Nuclear Bomb. This was the first such Lost Nuclear weapon and was code named - Broken Arrow. The Mystery goes deeper the more you look into it. One of the turrets recovered from the site is on display at the Bulkley Valley Museum.
